Obama hijacks the Tea Party Express
Well it's official, President Obama has joined the Republicans in hijacking the Tea Party Express. It took one of us to realign Obama's gyros on health care cooperatives and other
reforms as evidenced by Wednesday night's address to a joint session of Congress. How pathetic -- you could read Ted Kennedy's teary eyed widow mouthing "that was magnificent, (Obama) was magnificent," with Pelosi and Biden cheering him on.
If we do get meaningful reform out of Obama it will not be because of the Republicans
or Democrats in Congress, it will be because of grass roots activists doing the heavy lifting, and it would be sad indeed if Congressional incumbents of both parties are once again given a free pass in the 2010 election.
